'LIT 2022'
July

Friday 8th July saw the launch of the Summer exhibition of emerging artistic talent from students studying at Christ the King Sixth Forms in South London.

John Murray, Head of Art at CTK: Emmanuel said: ‘with the help and support of Komal Doan, Community Engagement and Communications Manager at SW9 Community Housing, Dianne Johnson, Head of Programmes at Urban Synergy, Kate Williams, Head of Engagement at Urban Synergy and Matthew Mifsud of Brixton Arts Circle (BAC) the event was a great success.  Several students sold artworks and Brixton Arts Circle (BAC) kindly agreed to allow 100% of proceeds of sales to go to the artists’.

Matthew Mifsud of Brixton Arts Circle (BAC) and the panel of judges decide on the night to awarded the winning prize of a solo exhibition at the Brixton Arts Circle (BAC) gallery to two participants rather than just one artist as planned: Arin Awojobi and Teegan Wray.  Both students will now receive help and support to build a body of work to exhibit in their own separate solo exhibitions over the next 12 to 24 months at the Brixton gallery.
